Shafts and Shafting

Shafts are used in almost every equipment of all types. Shafts are part of the mechanical transmission system. The exception to this rule may be electric motors or electric equipment. The diagram picture shows a ventilating fan that shows the shaft and bearings mounting, and/or the exhaust fan which is driven by the electric motor. The way that it does this is, the motors shaft makes the fan shaft turn by means of a belt and pulley system. The pulleys gives it,it’s speed needed to run the fan. The fan has a specific job to do, so the motor and fan shafts are a required in order for the fan to do it’s job. And both shafts have to run in bearings.
