John Deere 755B Crawler – How to Assemble and Disassemble A Charge Pump

In these instructions the charge pump is for a left hand. As with most parts that are right and left hand, they are different and the charge pump is no exception. The left hand charge pump has the transmission control pump.

First you will need to take off the cap screws to break down the pump and parts. Make sure you mark your parts so you know how to put things back together. On the neutral charge relief valve, if the spring/poppet are needing to be replaced, make sure you adjust your settings accordingly.

Next you will need to clean parts with diesel fuel and you can air dry or use air. The housing part that is next to the gaskets will need to be clean before putting a new on. You will need to put clean fluids in all internal parts and pump housing before you put it back together.

Put a small amount of thread lock and sealer on the housing that is next to the gasket.
