Sundstrand Sauer Danfoss Series 20 – Manual Displacement Motor Control

Manual displacement controls are also used on variable displacement motors. The MDC produces output speed and/or torque in correspondence to the angular movement of the control handle between the max. & min. displacements of the motor. When you release the control handle in the motor, it will return to its max displacement. The internal spring mechanism is not enough to provide external control linkage friction.

Torque on the control handle shaft will only handle 150 in lbs..anything past that will cause the handle to break or crack.
