Sundstrand Sauer Danfoss Series 40 M46 PV EDC and HDC Controls

The EDC is is almost the same as the HDC, in that the EDC uses an electrical hydraulic pressure control pilot valve to keep the pilot pressure under control.

THE PCP valve changes it from an electrical signal to a hydraulic one so that it can get the spring centered on a 4 way servo valve, that houses hydraulic pressure to either side of a double acting servo piston. The servo piston tilts in the cradle swashplate, will make the displacement full in one direction or the other.
