You have different kinds of Series 1 units. If your motor happens to have an integral shuttle and low pressure relief valve you will need to follow steps on down this page. If your unit has a valve block continue on from here. Place the motor on the mounting flange. Start loosing up the relief valves and plugs next. Take out the four bolts that hold the block onto the motor. Next take out the block. Take out the orings and backup rings from mounting area of the valve block. The low pressure relief valve cartridges need to be taken out, it doesn’t have back up rings and the only o ring is in the bottom groove. Next take out the high pressure relief valves, it has two backup rings and an o ring in the bottom groove. These relief valves come from the factory preset. You can see on the cartridge how it is stamped.

You will need to take out the two shuttle valve plugs and springs. Take out the shuttle valves and spool, along with the three gauge port plug assy. Put in the lower pressure relief valve with 75lb of torque.

To put in the three gauge port plug assy use 10lb of torque. The shuttle spoor and valve go back in the bock. Put in the valve springs and plugs. Use 68lb of torque on the valve plugs. Put in the two high pressure relief valves at 25lb torque.
