This sensor is made to give you a stable flow that goes over an orifice and changes the pressure to be able to handle the applications for that systems operation, it is called flow compensating. You get this done by putting a flow control valve amidst the pump outlet and the actuator.

You will need to put a sense line on so that the downstream side of the flow control and pump compensator are. The line knows when there is adjustments made in the system pressure needs. There are two adjustments, one on the back side senses the upper pressure limit and the front side tells how to set the pressure differential of the flow control valve.

You also can put this control with a variable flow control so it gives off variable flow and pressure.
