The charts will breakdown for you the P31/P51/P76 which codes for which units.

On the code 11 shaft for the P51 with the gear, has no outboard bearing is needed unless you have a radial load, also if it is integral .

On the P76C if it is not integral (with a code 11) with the gear, it will need an outboard bearing.  The PL factor is controlled to 8000 with the shaft.
