The diagrams show what goes into identifying your unit. What the different numbers and letter mean that tells the supplier or technician about your unit.
That way they can order parts, tell if something is obsolete, rotation, different flanges, charge pumps, etc.
All these things are important so parts can be ordered or helps in putting it back together or that you have the right unit for what job you are trying to do.
Any information you have on your unit if very helpful if something is wrong with your pump or motor.
The first 4 digits tell the build date.
The first and second digits tell the year of manufacture.
The third and fourth tell the calendar week it was manufactured.
The fifth thru the ninth tell the sequential numbers tell the specific type of unit.
The serial number will also tell about the warranty of the unit (when bought new).
All these questions will be asked:
Model number
Model code
Serial number
Machine it came off
Part numbers
What parts are you looking for or do you need a new unit
