Sundstrand Sauer Danfoss Hydro Transmission EDC Anti Stall Control

The EDC on the  pump controls the displacement. The electrical control handle that is between the load control and the EDC manual control pump displacement.  When the engine speed drops below the governed setting, the pump displacement is evenally reduced from the manual command valve to limit engine stalling.

This is good for trenchers with a hydrostatic propel, it keeps the engine operating near its highest power for the greatest work output and fuel efficiency by varying the propel speed as digging situations change.

The kind of control can be used with a fixed speed set point  or you can raise it with throttle position by introducing a feedback transducer to let you know the throttle position is on. If you use a manual selector switch it lets the machine operate with/out anti stall controls.
