Vickers Variable Displacement Transmission Motor – Assy of a Valve Block

Make sure the garter spring is facing toward the bearing when putting in a shaft seal. If you took out the yoke stop, thread it back in using locktite to the new yoke stop and put back in. Put together the wafer plate locating pin in the valve block. Put the wafer plate over the bearing race and locating pin with the bronze surface away from the valve block.  Make sure you don’t need a new wafer plate, if it has fractures in it that will be one of the signs of wear.  Your wafer plate needs to be flush against the valve block face. If you have rocking motions it will wear out your plate.
