Rexroth Electric Pneumatic Positioner Part 2

This is the system breakdown showing how the 2 speed utilizes 4, 2 way solenoid valves,  for slow speeds and a double solenoid, 4 way closed center for fast speed. If you have a 2 way speed it has the fastest rebound time without giving on accuracy.

It has a  slender window and wide window comparator.  A big difference on the command and feedback results in energization of both sets of solenoid valves. When the set point is engaged, the slower speed is boosted.

There is a characteristic of the controller that each set of solenoids is  palpitated before complete shut off to give a stepped or gradual deceleration of the load.
