The control gives a way for the manual settings to be used on this pump. It also provides the control on all three sizes. You use a handwheel to set the settings which in turn places the cam plate in the correct volume position. By looking at the indicator on the side of the pump marked by 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full volume. Adjustments are made thru a threaded regulator on the other side of the handwheel.
