This change affects the single and tandem M46 pumps. They made the pin better by rounding it. If you pin slot hasn’t turned and is not facing the rotating group or is 180 degrees away from the rotating group and/or doesn’t have the longer pin, then the pin has to replaced.
If you have the older style bring them in for credit and order a new one. And keep up with new part numbers for future repairs.
