Today we will discuss:
Put the pump housing on a flat surface with the front cover facing up. Position the valve plate into the main housing with its bronze face visible inside the housing. The notch on the valve plate needs to grip the locking spring pin. Make sure the valve plate is used for the pump rotation and configuration.
Position the slipper hold down pin retainer into the cylinder block. It ought to be flush with the end of the block.
Immerse the three slipper hold down pins into the large grooves in the cylinder block.
If you are using a slipper guide retainer with a splined washer , a one piece retainer (without a washer) should be put in.
Position the slipper guide retainer on the slipper hold down pins.
Put together the piston assemblies into the slipper guide.
The pistons and cylinder block bores, all need to lubricated. Position the assembled guide and pistons into the cylinder block by inserting the piston assemblies into the cylinder block bores. The pistons and bores are not selectively fitted, therefore no specific piston and bore inclination is needed.
By using a large pair of retaining ring pliers, put the cylinder block kit into the housing. Make sure the shaft bore in the cylinder block is coordinated with the needle bearing in the housing to let the installation of the shaft.
