Filter Adapters

To remove the filter adapter from the pump housing you  take off three hex head screws with a 1/2″  wrench or three 12 point head screws with a 5/16″ wrench. Take off the Orings (earlier units) or gasket (later units).

The early production units use a filter adapter with two orings, later ones have three orings. Always change your orings.

On the earlier units, install orings in the grooves of the filter adapter. Then you can install the adapter onto the pump housing. The later units, install teh spacer/gasket and adapter onto the housing.

Reinstall the screws and torque to 16 to 21 lbsf*ft (22 to 28 NM)
