It is most advised that the fluid used be a petroleum base R & O oil meeting Denison standard HF-1. They don’t have anti wear additives in the fluid.
Denison standards for fluid is HF-2 but you may have change up your operating style and they have the anti wear additives in this fluid.
To get the best our of your fluid for operating, the temperature needs to be 125 – 135 degrees F’ and not go past 160 degree F”.
